Orthodontic treatment appointments require varied amounts of time. The times specified are general approximations and vary with each patient’s specific treatment requirements.

• The initial free consultation for orthodontic treatment typically requires 60 minutes.
• Your appointment to create your orthodontic diagnostic records, which consists of radiographs (x-rays), impressions, and photographs, requires approximately 30 minutes.
• Teeth bonding appointments require approximately 1 hour
• Periodic orthodontic braces check-ups and adjustment appointments require 15 to 30 minutes.
• When it is time to remove your orthodontic braces, we require 2 hours.

Scheduling all orthodontist appointments for children during after-school hours is not possible. Appointments are rotated between mornings and afternoons in an attempt to be fair to all patients. Since most orthodontist appointments for kids are scheduled for only every 6 to 8 weeks, most school-age children will miss minimal school time due to their orthodontic treatments.
